What Is a CECT Thorax?

It is a test that uses contrast-enhanced CT to produce cross-sectional images of the organs and structures inside the chest.

What is CECT Thorax used for?

These images are more detailed than the regular x-ray. They can give more information about the injuries or diseases of the chest organs. This test is usually done to determine the cause of symptoms like cough, shortness of breath, chest pain or to detect the presence of any tumors or injury to the internal organ.
